Question on the copyright for the EBE themes

Aug 15, 2007 at 10:29 AM

Our customer wants to implement some of the EBE themes for their installation of MOSS. Now, as the project manager, I need to make sure that indeed the project is allowed to configure them as requested in the functional specification.

In the Microsoft Permissive License for CKS it says that "each contributor grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license under its licensed patents to make, have made, use, sell, offer for sale, import, and/or otherwise dispose of its contribution in the software or derivative works of the contribution in the software". This I interpret that, yes, we can make take the themes and configure them as we want.

But on certain themes it states in the footer: "© 2006–2007 CKS Blog", will we be able to remove this copyright sign, for example...?

Many thanks, Magnus

All the themes included in the beta are open source...use them as you wish.
