Changing default theme at site creation

Topics: Enhanced Blog Edition

Is it possible to tell Sharepoint to use a different theme as the default when creating new EBE sites? I even tried editing the default theme directly and still no luck. When I activate the EBE feature, the default theme applied to the blog is still the original default theme! Where it's getting the files, I have no idea. So I suppose I should follow the documentation and create my own custom theme, but even if I do so, it seems as though I'll need to open each and every blog site I create and manually change the look an feel either by changing to dropdown to the new theme or editing the default theme directly via Sharepoint Designer.

Try replacing the default theme in the CKS:EBE feature folder (12\Templates\FEATURES) with your own. When activating the feature this will be the one used.

Obviously changing this make upgrading slightly more complex, but should solve your immediate problem.
