I have Forms Authentication setup and working on WSS(this is an extranet site).
but now needed a solution for Password expiry(30days) and Reset and forgot password ,your solution covers most of what i need.

Can you guys help with this step :From the command line enter:
deploy [SharePoint Site URL]

do i change this on the deploy.cmd file - using notepad.

New(junior) in both Sharepoint Portal and WSS.

Thanks a lot.

You enter the URL on the command line as an argument, rather than change deploy.cmd.  So, open a command prompt, navigate to the directory where deploy.cmd lives, and type:

deploy http://MyServer.com/

where http://MyServer.com/ is the URL of the site collection you want FBA deployed on. But to be honest, I'm not sure the October release will be fully functional for you. You may have to get the source code and compile it, fixing a few issues along the way. Let me know if you run into difficulties; I can send you an updated WSP that should work, except there's no provision for password expiry that I know of. I could be wrong, though, as I have not looked at all of the code here.  However, there is a LastPasswordChangedDate field in the database, so you shouldn't have too much trouble adding that.  One idea that occurs to me is to add a new role called PasswordExpired, and in the authentication event, check expiration and add the user to that role.  Then your master page can check for that role, and redirect to the change password page.
