Required:
- Trackbacks to be displayed below each post, before comments.
- Show trackbacks via MTF in exactly the same way comments are shown, except with different XSL to reflect a different layout of different fields.
- List name will be "Trackbacks Received" with internal name "LinkbacksReceived".
- Must show these fields for each received trackback: Post Name (has hyperlink to post), Blog Name, and Post Excerpt (internal field names will be PostName, BlogName and PostExcerpt) . The latter 2 fields may be blank.
- Just as the Comments list is filtered on the "Post Title" lookup column (to show only comments for the current post), "Trackbacks Received" must be filtered on "Sent To" lookup into Posts.

- "Write About This" or "Blog This" link at the bottom of each post, which provides the user with a trackback ping URL (http://<web-url>/trackback.aspx?ID=<post-id>) and instructions on what it is for. See http://greg.infusionblogs.com/nmitha.
- Alternatively, at the bottom of the post you can display "Trackback ping URL: <url> (?)" where the question mark icon links to an explanation of the ping URL. Could be left to theme designer?

- RDF XML inside HTML comment after each post, to expose trackback ping URL to clients that support automated trackbacks: http://www.lifewiki.net/attachments/view/101/2.2 (note the tb vs. trackback prefix typo).
- Current implemented as computed column (CAML), may be able to salvage this.

- <link> tag in <head> of permalink page for automated trackback: <link rel="trackback" href="<ping-url>" />

There is not a sign in for the wild life theme if you log in as an anonymous user. In the default theme this was available.

Update: Somehow, I was a retard and managed to activate the feature in my MySite. This causes all sorts of fun and will result in your "File Not Found" when you go to your MySite page as well as "Value does not fall within the expected range." when you try to deactivate the feature on your MySite site. You will have to do it from the command line and use the -force switch to correct this issue.

Vince, by chance is there a way to not allow people to activate the feature for thier MySite to avoid this issue?

Closed Issue: EBE: Some default themes not compatible with IE6 [5850]

Hi,

Just bringing some attention to a minor xhtml/css issue :)

For example, the theme I'm using (Clean) isn't compatible with IE6 it seems. Been testing it on a few different browsers but every time it's to be opened in IE6 the "content" of the posts are displayed long way down the page after all the menus. - Not only on one machine but on all IE6 I've ran.

Just a thought that this might want to be fixed for a coming release..

Closed Issue: Error when deleteing site [6067]

Since activating the CKS:EBE feature on our Web Application, I have been getting the following error every time we delete a site:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at CKS.EBE.BlogContext.get_BlogEnabledSite()
at CKS.EBE.BlogHttpModule._app_PostAuthorizeRequest(Object sender, EventArgs e)
at System.Web.HttpApplication.SyncEventExecutionStep.System.Web.HttpApplication.IExecutionStep.Execute()
at System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously)_

Site deletion actually succeeds, but the end user has no way of knowing this. The error appears on all sites, not just Blog sites. The error appears whether or not the CKS:EBE feature is activated on the site.

Nothing shows up in DbgView, and ProcMon does not reveal a "smoking gun" (no "ACCESS DENIED" errors, no unusual "NAME NOT FOUND" errors). The SharePoint Diagnostic Logs are also unhelpful. Any thoughts on what might be going on? Is there any place I can go to gather more information on the source of the error?

Closed Issue: FBA Membership Request Management List deletes user upon approval [6099]

i'm using the lastest souce code version of IEE FBA. It all deployed fine and everything appears to work as expected except that when I create a test membership request via the membership request form the member is created and added to my sqlmembership provider table, shows up in the user management list and Membership Request Management List in my WSS 3.0 site, but when I select 'approve' the Membership Request edit form dropdown and click save, it deletes the member from both that list and my sqlmembership provider table. Perhaps the approved status has been mixed up with the rejected status in the code or some such?

Closed Issue: IEE FBA Password Change Error [7191]

If the membership provider does not require question and answer, then requesting a password change will change the password and will send the email to change the password. The problem is that it send the user to the WSS3 standard error.

An unexpected error has occurred.

Troubleshoot issues with Windows SharePoint Services.

But it does reset and email the new password.

Closed Issue: CKS:IEE FBA MembershipRequest doesn't work for providers w/o Question and Answer [7264]

Changesets 9802 and 9301 made changes to allow membership providers that don't require a question and answer, however the the CreateUser method used still requires a question and answer which causes the method to fail with InvalidQuestion as the status. This proposed change removes the comment marks and adds a check for Membership.RequiresQuestionAndAnswer to the validation logic. It then uses a different CreateUser method if Membership.RequiresQuestionAndAnswer is false.

Validation code was commented out. I removed the comment marks, and added a conditional check for Membership.RequiresQuestionAndAnswer

Closed Issue: CKS:IEE If CreateUser fails, the pending request is deleted. [7265]

This is actually two related issues.

1. The list item for the user in the Membership Review List should not be deleted if the user wasn't successfully created. This is easily handled by re-throwing the exception in the outer try-catch block of ApproveMembership in MembershipRequest.cs and then adding a try-catch block around the calling code in MembershipReviewHandler.cs. It would have been better if ApproveMembership returned a status code, rather than use exception handling, but here we are.

2. If the CreateUser fails, the Membership Review List status for that user should be reset to pending, or better yet a new status of "Error" should be created. The reason for the error should be put in a LastError field, or a new status reason field should be created. This way the admin knows that there was a problem, and why it happened.

Here is example code for #1 above:

Closed Issue: CKS:IEE Cannot toggle between role management and group management [7267]

In UserNew.cs, a check is made whether the Role management feature is activated:

Closed Issue: CKS:IEE - Security bug: FBASiteConfiguration.aspx not secured [7418]

Just noticed that FBASiteConfiguration.aspx is not secured. Even though the Feature is restricted to Site Collection Admins, we need to secure the page itself. Otherwise anyone who knows the URL (not hard to figure out) can get to the page.

To fix it, add this override to the codebehind. This will force the LayoutsPageBase class to validate the user's credentials before showing the page.

Closed Feature: Localization with web regional settings [10114]

The localization can be changed by changing the regional settings from the web. This way a blog can be created e.g. with a German language pack, and then switched to English by changing the regional settings.
