Event Calendar - with users in multiple time zones

Hi, I just discovered this initiative today. I wish I had found it earlier since we're just about to launch a major extranet built on MOSS2007 which has many community features. If I had known about this effort, it likely would have saved us some development effort.

Anyway, the problem I'm trying to solve is how to deal with users in multiple time zones. I wonder if you guys have come up with a solution to this problem. Are you using the "My Regional Settings" to set users timezones? I noticed that you don't ask for timezone as part of the registration process.

Specifically the issue I'm facing is that the "my regional settings" choice doesn't show up for my forms auth/sql membership provider users (Unlike you guys I went that way rather than writing to AD).

Any ideas or help would be appreciated!
